Zoe Baldwin, Staff

Are you looking for something to get your morning going? Imagine warm, soft, buttery sweet pancakes with your loved ones! All it takes is these easy steps. Why sit around when you can have fun making and eating pancakes! Jump on in in the action and don’t’ be afraid to get messy!

Ingredients:

-1 egg

-1 cup flour

-1 cup milk (of your choice)

-1 tablespoon sugar

-2 tablespoons vegetable oil

-3 tablespoons baking powder

-½ teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Mix all of the ingredients into a bowl of your preference (recommend a bowl with room to stir)
  2. Whisk your egg in a bowl until fluffy (if you want thinner pancakes to add ¼ milk to mix)
  3. Add egg to the bowl of ingredients
  4. Grease your pan if you want less a hassle when cleaning the aftermath
  5. Turn the heat off your stove to medium
  6. Test if your pan is ready by sprinkling water onto the pan. If the water slides along the pan then it is ready
  7. To have the right size pancake is 3 tablespoons of the batter to pour onto the pan
  8. Stay and watch the pan because it will cook fast
  9. Let sit for about 1 minute then stick your spatula under the pancake to check
  10. If it doesn’t stick then flip the pancake
  11. Do the same thing to the other side
  12. Once that side is done place it on a plate
  13. Repeat steps 6-11 as many times as needed until you have the right amount (max: 10)

Outcome:

Now that your pancakes are done you can do as you please. Let your creativity take over and try new things. For the simple ones add butter and syrup. For the adventurous ones go raid your fridge and experiment from jelly to sprinkles to fruits. I hope you find this recipe useful for making pancakes for you and your friends/family.
