Bad Habits

Begone habits!

Amelia Q.

Do you a habit you wish to break? Or prevent any? Well, I have a few tips for you:

  1. Try replacing your habit with something else that is healthier for you, because if you try to completely stop something, it may lead to a new habit that’s unwanted..
  2. Try avoiding triggers that tend to lead to your habit. For example: If you get nervous and tend to bite your nails, you can try focusing on something else in the room, instead of tempting yourself.
  3. Visualize yourself succeeding in coping with your bad habits, and try thinking like the old you. Meaning, you don’t have to completely be a whole new person. So, if you have a habit of biting your nails, try thinking of not being a nail biter.
  4. Be mentally prepared for failure in your journey to coping with a habit. It’s okay to make some mistakes along the way but don’t take it to heart because, everyone makes mistakes. :’)

I hope this helped you a little bit and THANK YOU for reading my tips!
